A viral campaign is not a virus but an effective route to market

Viral emails sound sinister but they are not viruses- as an example, if you have an offer on Vauxhall Corsa's then a short sharp sales message and a direct hyperlink are placed in a third party email. It's then braodcast with a topical amusement/information [that Vauxhall Corsa buyers would find funny or informative]. The receipient may then manually forward it to friends and colleagues.

This technique can deliver excellent results, it was very successfully used by Rolls Royce offering free aero-engine research.- another example targeted at thritysomething women [here]

Other 'freebies' that carry your message may be;

A digital game or utility.
Free download.
Wallpaper or screen savers.
Bounced emails e.g subscribers emails that are not longer vaild or spam blocked.
Who has subscribed and deleted subsequent mailings.

Programmes that carry a strong viral marketing component get you much more traffic for your investment than straight advertising.

NOTE: To keep within code of practice and under the data protection act, we do not place any tracking or harvesting code within our viral programmes.
