Google has launched its own 'Blog' newsreader, amongst the many others on the web. Anyone using Google to search for syndicated news on your product field will be shown your headlines with the option to 'click through' to your relevant html page. Another advantage of Blogs is they may help with 'page rank' since search engines love content that updates regularly and are rich in "key phrase" content.
The growth in the use of Blogs has gone through the roof with more newsreader devices being launched literally everyday it is something to be taken seriously.
